Submit an abstract

Submission Format

Abstracts  will be shared exactly as submitted, so it's crucial to ensure meticulous writing and formal quality. Non-compliant abstracts will not be accepted. After review and any necessary revisions, a notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the submitter.

Start of submissions: March 18, 2024

Late abstract submission deadline: May 30, 2024

Two types of presentations are proposed:

  • Oral presentations (total time: 10 minutes – 7 minutes for presentation, 3 minutes for questions)
  • Oral Blitz presentation (3 minutes for oral presentation)
  • Mini-symposium (3 to 4 oral presentations on a common theme, each lasting 30 minutes + 10 minutes for questions)

We welcome both conceptual and applied research, as well as communication proposals based on empirically-oriented work stemming from field practices. A writing guideline will be provided before the submission window opens.

Guide for authors

  • The submitted abstract must contain a title (maximum 20 words)
  • Maximum length should not exceed 400 words. APA format, including citations but without list of references (References, tables, or pictures cannot be included in the abstract)
  • The presentation format is flexible, but we encourage you to follow this structure as much as possible: Objectives / Methods / Results / Conclusion
  • The language of submissions and presentations is English. Please note that if English is not the author’s first language, we recommend that the abstract be checked by somebody fluent in English before submission (Language editing will not be provided)
  • The first author of an abstract is the presenter of this contribution at the ICSIS#4

The first author is expected to present their research and must register for the congress by June 2, 2024, at the latest (though early registration by April 24, 2024, is recommended to benefit from the early bird rate).

Due to the number of proposals, the Scientific Committee may ask some authors to present their proposal(s) in oral communications, blitz presentation, or in a mini-symposium. These decisions will not correspond to a devaluation of the proposed works. They will aim to preserve a diversity of oral presentations and to seek a balance between the different disciplinary fields.
